Project description

The IEA Greenhouse Gas R&D Programme (IEAGHG) was established in 1991 and currently has 37 mem-bers made up of 18 Contracting Parties and 19 multi-national Sponsors. The program aims to accelerate energy technology innovation by encouraging collaboration and knowledge-sharing between stakeholders in the public and private sectors. The primary focus is on carbon dioxide capture, utiliza tion, and storage technologies (CCS/CCUS). IEAGHG works with academic institutions and technical consultancies from around the world to conduct detailed techno-economic assessments of different technology options and publishes the results on its website. The organization works collaboratively to facilitate the development and deployment of CCS/CCUS technologies. As a country member, organizations gain access to carefully vetted evidence-based and policy-relevant information on greenhouse gas mitigation and reduction technologies, an opportunity to customize re search, keep abreast of the latest developments, and tailor their research needs. Members can also leverage their research, development and deployment activities in engineering, science, and policy fields.
