Udvikling og demonstration af fremtidens energi-effektive induktionsteknologi
The purpose of the project is to develop the future's energy-efficient induction technology for home cooking.
This will be achieved by rethinking induction technology, primarily through modernizing component selection and changing the layout of electronic components, thereby reducing cooling.
The goal of the project is to develop future energy-efficient induction technology for home cooking. The objective is to reduce power loss and heat generation. By doing so, we can also minimize the need for fan cooling, resulting in reduced electricity consumption and noise from the cooktop. The expectation is to reduce power loss in the electronics by up to 60-70% compared to existing induction technology.
This will be achieved by rethinking the induction technology through the redesign of its topology and the use of relatively recently introduced components such as silicon carbide and gallium nitride-based transistors.
The key milestones in the program are as follows: (1) Mock-up of induction technology including EMC tests, (2) prototype of induction technology including EMC tests, and (3) mechanical prototype integrated into a cabinet including EMC tests.
The results will be used to develop and commercialize induction technology, aiming to achieve significant market shares in both Denmark and Europe, leading to a reduction in electricity consumption during peak periods.
